A narrative coaching experience to uncover and craft your unique life story.
Designed for people seeking to memorialize their legacy, explore their identity, build their personal brand, and anyone ready to reflect on their journey.
What if your story…
is more interesting than you think?
What if understanding how you are both epic and ordinary might transform the way you approach life and work?
During this contemplative storywork experience, I will write your life story for you, and serve as your companion through a strategic process that infuses ideas from narrative coaching, narrative therapy, ethnographic interviewing, and prose.
To lead a life of integration and presence, we cannot remain hidden behind superficial versions of self.
Every person’s path is distinct, non-linear, amazing, yet mundane. While it may surprise us, the seemingly innocuous moments in our lives can have as much significance as the larger celebrations we tend to memorialize.
This experience will provide you the chance to explore what is tethering your past, present, and future, articulate rich insights, and share your unique story.
Often with our stories, we desire to impress others with strengths and accomplishments. Yet it is our vulnerability that most endears us to people. We are messy and imperfect. Good thing—where there is perfection there is no story to tell.
The creative act of mythologizing our lives as an epic with a three-act structure can offer us plenty of insight.
Instead of getting panicked or defensive when the next trial besets us, we might—like our favorite character in a film or book—view our progress through an epic lens, where trials are dignified and normalized. This can enable you to view life as having a purposeful direction to it, and create new and necessary meaning.
Your Epic Ordinary Life is bound to feel different because it is rooted in you.
How this works
Crafting Your Epic Ordinary Life typically involves the following approach:
You and I meet for the first narrative coaching session over Zoom, so I can get to know you better and we can level-set expectations for this experience.
I help you compile your story background through a series of questions and prompts to reflect on your formative experiences, beliefs, and desires. We will meet for the second narrative coaching session to process.
I write your story weaving strands across your childhood and adulthood, triumphs and failures, personal and professional life, honest while honoring all that is ‘you’.
I deliver your story in approximately 1500 words for your review (if you wish you can request a shorter or longer word count).
You and I explore your story in the third session, co-discovering themes and patterns in your story, noticing how it surfaces your core values.
I perform edits based on your feedback. I develop a character profile for you, consisting of motivations, obstacles, fears, talents, values, and an abbreviated three-act structure of your life according to Joseph Campbell’s hero’s journey stages. We meet to process in the fourth coaching session.
I ready you to share your story with potential audiences, keeping psychological safety at the fore. Edits will be completed by the final coaching session. You will walk away from this session with a finalized version of your story and character profile.
At the end of this enriching experience, your story will be yours to do what you want with.
Share it with your family, a friend, write your biography, or approach your team differently.

“It was a totally new experience to go through my epic ordinary life. It felt honourable to write down my story and let Jordan curate it beautifully. Jordan made me feel safe sharing my story and showed a lot of respect and patience in the process. It turned out exquisitely. I wish everyone had the opportunity to create their own epic ordinary life together with Jordan.”

“Jordan epitomizes every aspect of thought leadership. He didn’t see me as a project; he saw me as a unique individual. I recommend Jordan without reservation to anyone ready to own their story and willing and able to change the narrative.”
